The AVON is a river in Warwickshire, England. It is a tributary of the River Severn and is approximately 97 miles long. The source of the AVON is near Naseby in Northamptonshire and it flows through the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire before joining the Severn Estuary. The AVON has been an important waterway since ancient times and is now used for leisure activities such as fishing and boating.
