The Ouse is a river in North Yorkshire, England. It is one of the major rivers of Yorkshire and is approximately 81 miles long. The source of the river is in the Yorkshire Dales and it flows eastwards, through York, to meet the River Trent at Trent Falls. Along its course, the Ouse passes through several towns and villages, including Selby, Goole, and Howden. The river is an important part of the local economy, providing water for industry and leisure activities such as fishing and boating.
