Rink Ploy is a hockey term used to describe a maneuver in which a player dekes, or fakes out, an opposing player. DEKE is a four-letter word that is used to describe this move. It involves the player making a sudden movement with the puck, usually by shifting their body weight or changing direction, in order to confuse the other player and gain an advantage. This technique is often used to create space between the player and the defender, allowing them to make a pass or take a shot on goal.
