Orel Hershiser is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cleveland Indians, San Francisco Giants, and New York Mets. He was nicknamed 'Righty' due to his right-handed pitching style. He is best known for his record-breaking 1988 season with the Dodgers, when he set a major league record by pitching 59 consecutive scoreless innings. He was also a three-time All-Star and won the National League Cy Young Award in 1988.
