Ann Richards was an American politician who served as the 45th Governor of Texas from 1991 to 1995. She was the second female governor of Texas and was known for her progressive reforms during her term. She was a strong advocate for women's rights, education reform, and environmental protection. ANN Richards was born in 1933 in Lakeview, Texas and died in 2006. She was a member of the Democratic Party and was the keynote speaker at the 1988 Democratic National Convention.
