Michael Steele is a Republican politico who served as the first African-American chairman of the Republican National Committee from 2009 to 2011. He was also the lieutenant governor of Maryland from 2003 to 2007. Steele has been a vocal advocate for the Republican Party, and has appeared on numerous television and radio programs to discuss politics. He is currently a political analyst for MSNBC.
