The COATI, a raccoonlike creature, is a mammal native to Central and South America. It is a member of the Procyonidae family and is also known as the Brazilian Aardvark or the Snookum Bear. The COATI has a long, slender body with a bushy tail and a pointed snout. Its fur is usually grayish-brown in color and its face is marked with white stripes. It is an omnivore, feeding on fruits, insects, small animals, and eggs. The COATI is a social animal, living in groups of up to 30 individuals.
