Pirate's potable is a term used to describe the alcoholic beverages that pirates would consume. The two most common drinks were RUM and GROG. RUM is an alcoholic beverage made from sugarcane byproducts, such as molasses, or directly from sugarcane juice, and then aged in oak barrels. GROG is a drink made from RUM, water, and lime juice. Both of these drinks were popular among pirates and were often consumed in large quantities.
