Diana Gabaldon is an American author best known for her Outlander series of novels. She has written eight books in the series, which have been adapted into a television show of the same name. The series follows the adventures of a World War II nurse who is transported back in time to 18th century Scotland. Gabaldon has also written several other books, including a Lord John Grey spin-off series and a collection of short stories.
