Robert Towne is an Oscar-winning screenwriter who has written some of the most iconic films in Hollywood history. He won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for his work on the 1974 classic, Chinatown. He has also written for films such as Shampoo, The Last Detail, and Mission: Impossible. Towne has been nominated for four Academy Awards and has won numerous other awards for his writing.
