The wife of Orpheus was Eurydice, a figure from Greek mythology. She was the daughter of Apollo and the wife of Orpheus, a musician and poet who descended into the underworld to try to bring her back from the dead. Eurydice was tragically killed by a snake bite while fleeing from the advances of Aristaeus. Orpheus' attempt to rescue her from the underworld failed, and she was ultimately lost to him forever.
