An online antagonist, or 'TROLL' as they are commonly referred to, is someone who deliberately posts inflammatory, derogatory, or provocative messages in an online community in order to elicit an emotional response from other users. Trolls often target vulnerable individuals or groups and can cause significant distress to their victims. They may also use their posts to spread false information or to disrupt conversations. Trolls are often anonymous and difficult to identify, making them difficult to combat.
