One L Author is a term used to describe Scott Turow, an American author and lawyer. He is best known for his legal thrillers such as Presumed Innocent (1987) and The Burden of Proof (1990). Turow has also written several non-fiction books, including One L (1977), which chronicles his experience as a first-year law student at Harvard Law School. He has won numerous awards for his writing, including the Heartland Prize for Fiction in 2010.
