Omission periods, also known as ELLIPSIS, are a punctuation mark consisting of three dots in a row. They are used to indicate an omission or pause in a sentence, or to show that a sentence is unfinished. ELLIPSIS can also be used to indicate a trailing off of thought or to create suspense.
