The Olympic Vehicle term is composed of three words: SLED (4 letters), LUGE (4 letters), and KAYAK (5 letters). A SLED is a vehicle that is used to slide on snow or ice, usually pulled by horses or dogs. A LUGE is a small one- or two-person SLED used for racing down an icy track. A KAYAK is a type of canoe with a covered deck and one or more cockpits, each seating one paddler who uses a double-bladed paddle to propel the boat forward. All three of these vehicles are used in the Winter Olympics.
