Old Sicilian Coin is a term used to describe coins that were used in Sicily during the Middle Ages. The three most common coins were the Lira (4 letters), Tari (4 letters) and Litra (5 letters). The Lira was the largest of the three coins, and was made of silver. The Tari was slightly smaller than the Lira and was made of copper. The Litra was the smallest of the three coins and was made of bronze. All three coins were used as currency in Sicily during the Middle Ages.
