The OILERS were an old NFL team based in Houston, Texas. They were founded in 1960 and played in the American Football League until 1969 when they joined the NFL. The team was originally known as the Houston Oilers, but changed their name to the Tennessee Oilers in 1997 before finally becoming the Tennessee Titans in 1999. The team won two AFL championships in 1960 and 1961 and one AFC championship in 1999.
