The term of eight group, or octad, is a mathematical term used to describe a group of eight elements. It is commonly used in algebraic structures such as rings and fields, as well as in geometry and topology. Octads are also used in chemistry to describe the number of electrons in a particular atom or molecule. In general, an octad is any set of eight objects that can be related in some way.
