Odin, for one, is a DEITY and war god in Norse mythology. He is the chief of the Aesir gods and is associated with wisdom, healing, death, royalty, the gallows, knowledge, battle, sorcery, poetry, frenzy, and the runic alphabet. He is also known as the Allfather, as he is the father of many of the gods. Odin is often depicted as a one-eyed old man with a long beard and wearing a cloak and a wide-brimmed hat. He is also sometimes accompanied by two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, who fly around the world and bring back news to him.
