OBSOLESCENT MEANS OF COMMUNICATION refers to methods of communication that are no longer widely used due to the advancement of technology. Two examples of these are FAX and payphone. FAX, or facsimile, is a method of sending documents over telephone lines. Payphone is a public telephone that requires coins or a prepaid card to make calls. Both of these methods of communication have been largely replaced by more modern technologies such as email and cell phones.
