Marie CURIE was a Nobelist of 1903 and 1911. She was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and the only person to win two Nobel Prizes in two different sciences: physics and chemistry. She was also the first female professor at the University of Paris. Her work on radioactivity led to the discovery of two new elements, polonium and radium. She was an inspiration to many women in science and her legacy continues to this day.
