Nadelhorn, for one, is an Alpine peak located in the Pennine Alps on the border between Switzerland and Italy. It has an elevation of 4, 061 meters (13, 325 feet) and is the highest peak of the Mischabel range. The three-letter acronym ALP is used to refer to the Alps, a mountain range in Europe that stretches from Austria and Slovenia in the east, through Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, and Germany, to France in the west.
