The National League Batting Champion of 1966 was Felipe ALOU, a Dominican-American professional baseball player and manager. ALOU played in Major League Baseball for 17 seasons as an outfielder, primarily for the San Francisco Giants, and also for the Atlanta Braves, Oakland Athletics, New York Yankees, and Montreal Expos. He was a three-time All-Star and won the National League batting title in 1966 with a .327 batting average.
