The term MUSICAL MUSE is a reference to the Greek goddess EUTERPE, who was one of the nine Muses in Greek mythology. She was the Muse of music and lyric poetry, and was often depicted holding a flute or a lyre. EUTERPE was also associated with the celebration of joy and pleasure.
