The Last Czarina of Russia was Alexandra, also known as Aleaandra. She was the wife of Nicholas II, the last Tsar of Russia, and the mother of the Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia. Alexandra was born in Germany and was a granddaughter of Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. She was a devoted wife and mother, but her influence on her husband's rule was controversial. Her faith in the mystic Rasputin and her German heritage were seen as a threat to the Russian people. Alexandra was forced to abdicate the throne in 1917 and she and her family were executed in 1918.
