Language Irish is a term used to refer to the two main languages spoken in Ireland: ERSE and CELTIC. ERSE, also known as Irish Gaelic, is a Goidelic language native to Ireland, Scotland, and the Isle of Man. It is a member of the Indo-European language family and is closely related to Scottish Gaelic and Manx. CELTIC, on the other hand, is a branch of the Indo-European language family that includes Welsh, Breton, and Cornish. It is the official language of Wales and is spoken by a minority in Scotland and Brittany. Both ERSE and CELTIC are recognized as official languages of the Republic of Ireland.
