Kiel Conjunction is a term used to describe the agreement between the German states of Prussia AND Schleswig-Holstein in 1866. The agreement was made to settle the dispute between the two states over the Duchy of Schleswig. The agreement was signed in the city of Kiel, hence the name Kiel Conjunction. The term UND, which is a three letter German word meaning 'AND', is often used to refer to the Kiel Conjunction.
