Sal Khan is an American educator and entrepreneur who founded the Khan Academy, a free online educational platform. He is also the founder of the Khan Lab School, a brick-and-mortar school in Mountain View, California. Khan has been recognized for his work in education reform and was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in 2012. He has also received numerous awards, including the Microsoft Tech Award, the Heinz Award, and the Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy.
