Hideo Nomo is a former professional baseball player from Japan. He was a right-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1995 to 2008. He was known for his unique pitching style, which included a windup that resembled a tornado. Nomo was the first Japanese-born player to appear in an MLB game and was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014.
