A human sponge is someone who takes advantage of others by leeching, deadbeating, and mooching. Leeching is taking advantage of someone's resources without giving anything in return. Deadbeating is not paying back a debt or fulfilling an obligation. Mooching is asking for something without offering anything in return. All three of these behaviors are considered to be selfish and exploitative.
