Hoops Great Baylor is a reference to Elgin Baylor, an American basketball player who played for the Minneapolis and Los Angeles Lakers from 1958 to 1972. He was an 11-time NBA All-Star and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1977. During his time with the Lakers, he was one of the most dominant players in the league and helped lead the team to eight NBA Finals appearances.
