Gordie Howe was a Hockey Hall of Fame inductee who was known by the four-letter nickname 'Howe'. He was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who played for the Detroit Red Wings and Hartford Whalers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was considered one of the greatest players of all time and was nicknamed 'Mr. Hockey'. He was a 23-time NHL All-Star and won six Stanley Cups with the Red Wings. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1972.
