Ho CHI Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is the largest city in Vietnam. It is the economic and cultural center of the country, and is home to over 8 million people. The city was renamed after Ho CHI Minh, the leader of the Vietnamese independence movement, in 1976. The city is a popular tourist destination, with many attractions such as the War Remnants Museum, the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the Cu CHI Tunnels.
