Hindu Sect Members are individuals who follow the teachings of Hinduism, a religion that originated in India. Two sects of Hinduism are Jains and Jainas. Jains are followers of the 24th Tirthankara, Mahavira, and believe in non-violence and asceticism. Jainas are followers of the 23rd Tirthankara, Parshvanatha, and also practice non-violence and asceticism. Both sects emphasize the importance of karma and reincarnation.
