The Highland Games Pole is an event in the Highland Games, a traditional Scottish festival. The event involves throwing a large wooden pole, known as a CABER, as far as possible. The CABER is typically made from a tree trunk and is usually around 19 feet long and 175 pounds. Competitors must throw the CABER so that it turns end over end and lands in the 12 o'clock position. The competitor who throws the CABER the farthest is declared the winner.
