Henry Cabot Lodge was an American politician and diplomat who served as a Republican Senator from Massachusetts from 1893 to 1924. He was also the U.S. Ambassador to Italy from 1923 to 1924 and the U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1924 to 1925. He was a prominent figure in the early 20th century, and his name is often associated with the League of Nations. He was also a member of the prominent Cabot family of Boston.
