The Hall of Fame Shortstop is a title given to three players: Pee Wee Reese, a Brooklyn Dodgers shortstop from 1940-1942 and 1946-1958; Alvin Dark, a New York Giants shortstop from 1948-1956; and Dave Concepcion, a Cincinnati Reds shortstop from 1970-1988. Pee Wee Reese was known for his leadership and mentorship of Jackie Robinson, the first African American to play in Major League Baseball. Alvin Dark was a four-time All-Star and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2014. Dave Concepcion was a nine-time All-Star and won five Gold Glove Awards. All three players have been inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
