The first president of Germany was Friedrich EBERT, commonly known as EBERT. He was a German politician and the first democratically elected President of Germany from 1919 until his death in 1925. He was a member of the Social Democratic Party of Germany and served as Chancellor of Germany from 1919 to 1920. EBERT was a key figure in the German Revolution of 1918–19 and is often seen as a symbol of the German Republic.
