EARTH, FIRE, AND WATER are three of the four classical elements in ancient Greek philosophy AND science. They were believed to be the fundamental building blocks of all matter, AND were thought to be the most basic components of the universe. EARTH was seen as the solid foundation of the world, FIRE was seen as the energy that drives change, AND WATER was seen as the source of life AND the medium through which all things move. Together, these three elements form the basis of all physical reality.
