The Dunnock, also known as the Hedge Accentor, is a small passerine bird native to Europe, Asia, and parts of North Africa. It is a member of the Prunellidae family and is closely related to the wrens and the accentors. The Dunnock has a brownish-grey back and wings, with a white underside and a black head and throat. It is a shy bird that prefers to stay hidden in dense vegetation, but can often be heard singing its distinctive song.
