Sara Paretsky is an American author best known for her detective fiction series featuring the female private investigator V.I. Warshawski. She is credited with pioneering the genre of female-led detective stories and has been referred to as one of the most influential crime writers of the past 40 years. Paretsky's works have been translated into more than 20 languages and she has received numerous awards for her writing.
