Daniel of the Frontier is a reference to the American pioneer and frontiersman Daniel Boone. He was born in 1734 in Pennsylvania and is best known for his exploration and settlement of what is now Kentucky, which was then part of Virginia. He was also a militia officer during the Revolutionary War, and served as a member of the Virginia General Assembly. Boone's legacy has made him one of the most famous frontiersmen in American history.
