The term 'CURRIER's Partner' refers to the American lithographic firm of CURRIER & Ives, which was founded by Nathaniel CURRIER and James Merritt Ives in 1834. The two men were business partners and together they created some of the most iconic images of 19th century America. Ives was responsible for the artistic side of the business, while CURRIER handled the business side. Together, they produced thousands of prints that depicted scenes from everyday life, as well as historical events.
