Cuba's Fidel is the former leader of Cuba, Fidel Castro. He was a revolutionary leader who overthrew the Cuban government in 1959 and served as the country's Prime Minister from 1959 to 1976 and President from 1976 to 2008. He was also the leader of the Communist Party of Cuba from 1961 until his death in 2016. He was known for his strong socialist policies and his close relationship with the Soviet Union.
