Jon Cryer is an American actor, writer, and producer who has appeared in numerous movies. He is best known for his role as Alan Harper in the CBS sitcom Two and a Half Men, for which he won two Primetime Emmy Awards. He also starred in the films Pretty in Pink, Superman IV: The Quest for Peace, Hot Shots!, and Hiding Out. Cryer has also had supporting roles in films such as No Small Affair, Dudes, and Hit by Lightning.
