Nat 'Cole' was an American singer and jazz musician who was popularly known as a crooner. He was one of the first African-American performers to gain mainstream success in the 1940s and 1950s. His smooth, velvety voice earned him the nickname 'King Cole' and he was known for his renditions of popular standards such as 'Mona Lisa' and 'UNFORGETTABLE'. He was also a successful songwriter and pianist, and was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1989.
