Roger Ebert was an American film critic, journalist, and screenwriter. He was the first film critic to win a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 1975. Ebert was known for his reviews of films on television and in print, as well as his syndicated column and blog. He was also the author of several books about the movies. He was a fixture on television for decades, appearing on shows such as Siskel & Ebert at the Movies and Ebert & Roeper. He passed away in 2013.
