Court Star Stefan Edberg is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. He was one of the world's leading players in the late 1980s and early 1990s, winning six Grand Slam singles titles and three Grand Slam doubles titles. He also won the men's singles gold medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul. Edberg was known for his serve-and-volley style of play and his graceful one-handed backhand. He retired from the sport in 1996 and was inducted into the International Tennis Hall of Fame in 2003.
