Court officials are individuals who are responsible for the administration of justice in a court of law. Jurists, or judges, are responsible for interpreting and applying the law to the facts of a case. Ushhers are responsible for maintaining order in the courtroom and ensuring that all participants follow the rules of the court. REFS, or referees, are appointed by the court to hear evidence and make recommendations to the court. Finally, referees are appointed by the court to hear disputes between parties and make decisions based on the evidence presented.
