Court Legend Arthur Ashe was an American professional tennis player who won three Grand Slam titles. He was the first African American to win the men's singles at Wimbledon and the US Open, and was a member of the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Ashe was also an advocate for social justice and civil rights, and was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1993.
